Eric Church

Eric Church grew up in  Granite Falls, NC. He started singing at a young age. When he was 13, he started to write songs and not long after he started writing his own songs, he taught himself to play guitar. While Church was going to college he formed a band called the Mountain Boys, and they played around North Carolina. After he graduated from college with a marketing degree, he moved to Nashville, TN and began his country singing career. It took him a year to get his songs out on the radio, but once they were out he had many hits.

Eric has been in the country music business for over twenty years now. Eric Church is married, him and his wife just had their first child a year ago. It is really hard for him being away from home as much as country singers are, but now its even harder since he has a little guy at home that he wants to spend time with. He tries to spend as much family time as he can, but his wife understand and wants him doing something that he loves.

Keith Urban

Keith Urban was born on October 26, 1967. He was raised in Whangarei, New Zealand. He is now 44 years old and still going strong with his solo singing career. He decided to make a go of his solo singing in the late 1990s. Urban has been awarded many times for his amazing voice and his wonderful stage performance. Already in 2001 we was named Top New Male Vocalist at the CMA Awards. In 2006 he won his first Grammy.

 When he was only a teenager, he was known for a very talented guitarist. He started at a very young age, that is why he is so high on the country charts today. Keith Urban has performed with many different country singers, Miranda Lambert and Brad Paisley. The word is that they had an outstanding performance. Urban is now married to Nicole Kidman, although he hasn't always been. Kidman was once married to Tom Cruise for ten years. Urban and Kidman were married on June 25, 2006. They flew across the world to Australia to be married in North Sydney at the Cardinal Cerretti Memorial Chapel. The two of them have been married ever since.

Lauren Alaina

 Lauren Alaina was born November 8, 1994 in  Rossville, Georgia. She has always loved to song. She grew up with a good Christian. She loved to sing at church, school, restaurants and gatherings. She would go all over just to get a chance to sing. Her mom and dad would only let her go within a 30 mile radius from where she lived. When Lauren was only three years old, her mom said that she hit the high note perfectly on a Dixie Chicks song "When You Were Mine".

When she was only 16, she was on American  Idol and she did extremely well on the show. All of the judges loved her, she was one of there favorites. She made it up to the last two. Being her and Scotty McCreery. Lauren ended up being the runner up. Even though she didn't win American Idol, she still released a song called "Like My Mother Does". It was a big hit for her and she is soon to have more songs out.

Faith Hill

Faith Hill was born on September 21, 1967. She was born in Jackson, Mississippi. Hill is very high on the charts, even though she is one of the older country singers. She won the Grammy Awards for being the best country, female vocal performance. In 1994 Hill spent a few months touring and she had great respect for  Reba McEntire, Alan jackson  and Brooks & Dunn. These country singer and song writers were her idols. She looked up to them.

In 1996, she married the love of her life Tim McGraw. Once they got married, they went on tourers together and performed together. There favorite tour they went on together, was the Soul2Soul Tour. It was the highest grossing country music tour ever. Tim and Faith were very thankful they got to go on that tour. It helped them out a lot, just since they were newly married. The two of them live in a mansion. There house is known as the  Beverly Park mansion.

Tim McGraw

Tim McGraw was born May 1, 1967 in Delhi, Louisiana. He is a very famous country singer and song writer. McGraw had made his way to the top of the charts by the third year he started singing. He is married to a famous country singer and song writer Faith Hill. The two of them sometimes sing together. Before McGraw started his singer career, he was the type of person that could sit down and pick a guitar any time of the day and entertain many people.

Tim McGraw absolutely love the family life and good family living, when McGraw's mom and dad got a divorces was he was nine years old it was very hard on him. His father took off and left Tim and his mother, it took Tim many years to forgive him. He didn't have anything to do with hid dad for a long time after that until one day he finally forgave him for running out on him and his mother. McGraw made up with his father and is still doing the one thing he loves.

Luke Bryan

Luke Bryan is liked by many people. Bryan grew up in a really small town called Leesburg, Ga. When he was growing up Luke helped his dad with his peanut and fertilizer business. He loved playing sports and really enjoyed being in the outdoors. Luke had an amazing voice, his mom always loved to hear him sing  George Strait songs. Strait was one of Lukes ideals. He always looked up to him. At the age of 14 Lukes mom and dad bought him a Alvarez guitar. When Luke was 15 his dad would take him down to the local club and he would sing country music for everyone, along with other country singers and song writers.

Bryan planned to move to Nashville after he graduated high school. His family was supporting him the entire way. The day that Luke was packing everything up and getting everything ready to go he got a horrible phone call. His older brother Chris and one of his best friends were both killed in a car accident the same day Luke was suppose to leave. Bryan had to move on even though he had lost a brother and a good friend, for awhile after that all of his songs had emotion. They still do to this day but not as bad as right after the accident happen.  

Billy Ray Cyrus

Billy Ray Cyrus was born on August 25, 1961. He was born in Flatwoods, Kentucky. Cyrus is known for his acting and always known for his country singing. His song “Achy Breaky Heart,” made him famous. Before he became famous with his solo singing, he was in a band called the Sly Dog and that was in the early 1980s. Cyrus also grew up around all gospel music, his father had a strong faith in God so that's what they listened too a lot of the time.

Billy Ray Cyrus has a daughter that is also known for her acting and singing. The two of them do a lot of acting and singing together. They are also known for the Disney show called 'Hannah Montana'. They have been playing on that show for several years now, but Billy says that the show is destroying there family. Cyrus has six children, two of them being step children.

Taylor Swift

Talyor Swift is only 22 years old and has been a country pop star singer/song writer for over five years now. She was writing songs  at the age of 14. Her first song that song that she ever wrote, was called Tim McGraw. Not long after that she came out with more songs. After a few years of being big in the music she was being reconized for all of her work. Swift has had some rough times in her life but she never gave up with her music and always looked at the good things in life.

All of Taylor Swift's songs are about, all the boys that have treated her bad. Every boy that treated her bad, she thought it would be wise to write a song about them so they would feel really bad about what they did.  When Taylor got done writing and singing her songs about these boys that treated her bad, all of them wish they had never treated her wrong. And all of them regretted treating her back, since now she is so famous.

Miranda Lambert

Miranda Lambert is 28 years old. She was born in November 10th 1983. She has always had a love for singing and song writing. She was born in Longview, Texas. Lambert is married to the fellow country star, Blank Shelton. She loves to go hunting and fishing in her spare time. She is a ex-cheerleader. Once she became a country star, she game up the cheerleader and completely focused on her singing. Miranda has a very small family, so they get to go out on the road with her sometimes while she is going from city to city performing her singing talent that she has.

When Blank Shelton and Miranda Lambert starting working together in 2005, Blank was married to another women (Kaynette Williams). Shleton and Williams marriage was good, and Williams felt nothing could come between them. Little did she know that Miranda Lambert was going to steel her husbands heart away from her. They started working together and not long after that, Shelton was getting a divorce. Shelton and Lambert fell in love, they started dating and not long after that they were married.

George Strait

George Strait has been a country singer for a long time. He was born in 1952, and started singing at a young age. His mother left him and his dad behind, one day she decided she didn't want to be with Mr. Strait anymore, so she packed her bags and took off. George and his dad still ran there big ranch even though they lost a loved one. During the week George would be in town so he could go to school since there ranch was so far out of town and on the weekends he would help his dad out on the ranch.

Once George graduated from high school he enrolled in college, but didn't last long before he dropped out. He didn't think college was for him. He fell in love with his high school sweetheart after he dropped out of college. He also served in the army and was stationed in Hawaii, once we was done serving he stayed in Hawaii where he settled down and really started singing. He has been singing country music ever since. 

 

Scotty McCreery

Scotty McCreery was born in Garner, North Carolina on October 9th, 1993. Scotty auditioned for the American Idol in 2011. His charming smile and his amazing voice made him 2011 American Idol winner. For his coronation single, Scotty sang 'I Love You This Big.' Scotty has one sister, Ashley McCreery, father, Micheal McCreery, and mother Judy McCreery.

Some interesting facts about Scotty. in fifth  grade he began playing the guitar. He is a pitcher for his high school baseball team. when he was younger he loved to impersonate Elvis Presley. In 2009 he won the Clayton Idol competition wan was season 10 winner of American Idol; runner up was Lauren Alaina.

Scotty had many friends before he became famous, and he still does. His fame didnt make him any better them the rest of his friends.

Carrie Underwood

This week i  decided to blog about Carrie Underwood. Carrie Underwood was born on March 10, 1983 in Muskegee, Oklahoma. She was just a small town girl who competed in local talent shows. Her country singing came on really strong when she won the American Idol in 2004.
Underwood is now happily married to a hocky player named Mike Fisher. Underwood was the first woman to become known Academy of Country Music's Entertainer for two years in a row. Her three greatest hits are 'Before He Cheats', 'Jesus Take the Wheel,' and 'Temporary Home'. Underwood is also the youngest member of the Grand Ole Opry.

Country Music

My blogs will be on all the country singers and country artist. They will tell you how old they were when they started, how long they have been singing country music, and what songs they sing. The first person i am going to talk about is Carrie Underwood.
