George Strait has been a country singer for a long time. He was born in 1952, and started singing at a young age. His mother left him and his dad behind, one day she decided she didn't want to be with Mr. Strait anymore, so she packed her bags and took off. George and his dad still ran there big ranch even though they lost a loved one. During the week George would be in town so he could go to school since there ranch was so far out of town and on the weekends he would help his dad out on the ranch.
Once George graduated from high school he enrolled in college, but didn't last long before he dropped out. He didn't think college was for him. He fell in love with his high school sweetheart after he dropped out of college. He also served in the army and was stationed in Hawaii, once we was done serving he stayed in Hawaii where he settled down and really started singing. He has been singing country music ever since.

He has some really good songs. I didn't know that his mom left and he dropped out of college. I definately learned something new!

I love George's music!! My favorite is his song that Carrie Underwood sings a duet with him!!
I had no idea George Strait lived in Hawaii! That's really interesting.
